Sensor Line’s unique fiber optic sensing technology allows the most accurate and reliable and thus most cost-effective vehicle detection and classification sensor for traffic monitoring. These sensors are used both for open road tolling and at plazas for toll roads, bridges and tunnels. Working with light attenuation as the means of detection, these sensor will give accurate counts at any speed. Manufactured in Germany, the sensors have been designed so that they are backwards compatible with many of the existing interfaces as well as being able to fit into existing frames already installed. Versions are available to fit directly in the road or shoulder so that they can conform to the road profile and never missing a vehicle.
