The Osceola Parkway is a 12.4-mile controlled-access toll facility located in the northern portion of Osceola County, Florida, and extends from Florida’s Turnpike west to World Drive located within the Reedy Creek Improvement District. Sometimes known as the “Gateway to Disney”, the Parkway was constructed with the intent to provide an easy access from the Florida Turnpike west to the I-4 corridor and Walt Disney World main gate, and also to relieve the heavily congested traffic on U.S. Route 192. Opened to traffic in August 1995, the Parkway is a divided four-lane roadway with limited locations that have six-lane signalized sections. The Osceola Parkway’s mission is to provide a premier toll road facility that is strategically and environmentally designed to meet the communities’ transportation needs while providing a convenient an efficient roadway system that can be easily used by the citizens and visitors of Osceola County. All operational aspects of the Osceola Parkway shall be focused on safety, innovative customer service, speedy and accurate transactions, and planned expansions to meet future County growth.
