Lochner is a nationwide organization of civil and structural engineers, planners, environmental scientists, inspectors, design technicians and support specialists – all devoted to providing valuable professional services that enhance people’s lives through sustainable infrastructure.
Lochner was founded in Chicago in 1944 by Harry Lochner, Sr., who established the firm by conducting some of the nation’s first comprehensive transportation and land use studies. Today, Lochner is a nationally-recognized firm, employing 520 professionals in 30 offices in 19 states. As our firm continues to grow, one factor always remains a constant: our commitment to provide our clients with the highest level of expertise and the highest quality service.
The Lochner tradition of excellence and stability rests firmly on our nearly seven decades of accomplishments – ranging from policy analysis, through planning and environmental studies, design, and construction engineering and inspection services. Lochner remains an independent, employee-owned, stable, mid-sized firm – a family of professionals dedicated to providing the highest quality infrastructure and transportation products and services.
